Gravatar Issues
-
I have a self-hosted WordPress blog. I had an old gravatar account and it seems like my avatar is being mixed up with my old account and my new one:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/dawanahug
Old one was:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/dawana
which I deleted. So I removed my avatar because I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. All of my old comments with that username is showing up with the gravatar photo that I had chosen for my new profile.

I need a way to view a gravatar image by supplying it’s md5 hash. Is there a website to do that? I’ve hunted the gravatar website but could not find anyway to do that. It was actually difficult to find a page where I could see the hash.

@thomasfreedman
You disrespected the blogger who created this thread by hijacking it. Please start your own thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 -
@abittersweetexistenceblog
http://en.gravatar.com/dawana has been deleted.Know that wordpress.com accounts are also gravatar username accounts ie. they are one in the same http://en.gravatar.com/dawanahug

I wouldn’t exactly call it hijacking with a generic title like “Gravatar Issues”, of which my post is one. However, if a moderator makes a suggestion it’s generally a good idea to follow their advice.
So I will repost in a new thread.

Hey @timethief, I guess I’m confused about older comments that I made on other blogs years ago. If I change my profile picture with my new UN it pops up under all of my old comments even though they were made with a different account, email address, etc. Is it linked to my IP address or am I completely missing something here?
Thanks for the help
