Gravatar not apearing on my blog when i Udload it

Did you upload it via your Profile or on the Gravatar site itself? That makes a difference.

I originally did it on the profile page but then I tried it on the Gravatar site as well. Neither seems to work.

Some basics:
The image filetype has to be either PNG, GIF or JPG. The file name should contain only letters and numbers – no special characters – and make sure all letters are lowercase. Make sure the file name has an extension. Example: image.jpg .
Prepare the image prior to uploading it and it should be no larger than 128px square. That is the best size. Using really large image (over 500px square) will cause issues.

Thanks for your help but still nothing. I’m at a loss. It is a small JPG file, all lower case, no numbers or special characters. I’ve deleted the cache. Anything else I can try. @suziebrown.

Try changing the name of the file, saving it, and then re-uploading right at the Gravatar site. Sometimes repeatedly trying to upload a file can cause problems; changing the name works around those problems.

Thanks! I saved it under a new file name and made it G rated. For some reason I had selected PG – not sure if that may have been the problem? Thanks all for your help

I changed my gravatar about six weeks ago and it is still not showing the correct one. When I go to change it, the correct one shows on my settings/profile page but it does not show in my comments any place. I know it takes a while to show but six weeks??? The new one does show but only on my settings page, not on comments.

I am having the same difficulty with my Gravatar – Uploaded the new gravatar but not able to see it on the blog, it shows the default one.
1. I have checked on the profile page and the Gravatar.com site. Both places it shows the new, uploaded Gravatar.
2. Also tried to wait for a day (24 hrs) no point.
3. Tried to check on various browsers before and after clearing cache, but no change.
My Blavatar is fine, only the Gravatar is not showing up. Please help

Volunteers answering forum questions cannot help with this non-appearance of gravatars. We can give you instructions for the best practices for preparing the images for uploading and the steps to take as TheSacredPath id on the first page of this thread. From there on if you have problems only Staff can address them.

So how do I reach out to the staff? I have even gone ahead and prepared the photos in the specified manner.
Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. I find it very hard to believe it *takes time*…when I change anything on my Facebook page it happens instantly. Very frustrating.
