Gravatar not showing up

I have two blogs, two email addresses, and two author names (they’re all me) I have gravatars for both identities. Both identities have administrative access on both blogs. The Gravatar shows up for Alanna Coca at http://alannacoca.wordpress.com, but not on http://oliviabrynn.wordpress.com, and the Gravatar for Olivia Brynn doesn’t show up anywhere. Both gravatars are present in each blog’s dashboard.
I saw another thread with this issue, but it was closed without resolution.

In settings > discussion on http://oliviabrynn.wordpress.com , go to maximum rating and see if there is anything checked there.
Also, go to http://en.gravatar.com/ and click on my account and then click on “manage.” In the lower section, hover your mouse over the image you are using and it will display the rating for that image. If the rating for that image is higher than what is set at settings > discussion, then the image will not show up.

Sorry, looks like I’ve attempted many updates on Olivia’s gravatar, the last date was 8/2/09, and both settings are checked as “G”

What is the rating setting for the blog at settings > general?
What is the rating for the gravatar over at gravatar.com?

There isn’t a ratings box at settings>general. The only place I can find a ratings box is in the discussion section which is at G

So yeah, I’m a big fat liar. I must have been looking at Alanna’s blog at G, because Olivia’s is at PG. I changed it to G and the avatars are now showing up.
So if I have a PG blog I can’t show my avatars if they’re rated G?

You can change the rating of your gravatars at gravatar.com under manage. Hover your mouse over the image, click on the rating that appears to the right of the image and choose a new rating. It is up to the gravatar owner to set the rating responsibly. By default, they are set to G.

Yes, they are at G. Still. They always were.
It’s my Olivia blog that had a PG rating, and thus would not show gravatars until I changed it to G.
Seems backward to me

I’m not sure what is up with the gravatar ratings at settings > discussion or what the default is or was or if there is one. On my blogs here there is nothing checked or selected at all so I’m not sure if that means it will show absolutely everything or what. Another mystery.
The good thing is that it is solved.

solved other than having a G rating on a PG or higher blog. Thanks for your help tho, I’ll just watch my language lol

You can change your blog rating if you wish. There is nothing preventing it. If you feel you fit in PG, change the rating.

It seems I have to choose between ratings and Gravatars. There must be some glitch somewhere, because that doesn’t make sense to me. Thank you for your help though.

And back on http://oliviabrynn.wordpress.com both avatars are back to quilt squares. What’s going on?

In your dashboard at user > your profile, does it show the correct gravatar?
At gravatar.com, for oliviabrynn does it show the correct gravatar?
