Gravatar On Widget
-
My blog is just for fun with friends. I love the GRAVATAR that works on comments because most of my friends don not have WP account.
Does anyone knows how it works on RECENT COMMENTS WIDGET? I mean most of my friend have no WP account that means their avatar appears only on comments not on widget.
TIA

I believe it should work on the Recent Comments Widget too because WordPress owns Gravatar. However, if they don’t work, you can always turn the images off by setting the respective properties in the widget. You could also try using the smaller image sizes to see if it works. And if it doesn’t, please mention your blog URL.

Just for reference and to be anal, Automattic owns Gravatar. Slight difference.
If they go to gravatar.com and create an account there, it should up when used here.

Note the email address is key

As for which image is used, that depends on the email you use, nothing else. So if you have the same email it’s the same avatar. If you have more than one email you get the one you use or are logged in with.
If you have the two avatars – one at gravatar, one here – and the same email then there would be a collision. And how that is handled will be announced when we document the integration.
