  I’ve just been alerted that my Gravatar account is publishing my email address publicly. I need to either find a way to make that part of my profile private or to delete my gravatar account. Any thoughts?

  You don’t have to delete your Gravatar account to hide your email address on it.

  Head to https://thewobblythong.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=grofiles-editor

  Scroll down a bit to find Contacts section.

  Remove email from Public Email field.

  Scroll further down the page and click Update Profile button to save the change.

  I am having a similar problem, but for a defunct profile. Sites like Full Contact are linking my current email address to an old blog and photo (which, by the way, I designated as private according to my settings).

  Despite changing the email address on the account, and deleting the site, my photo and the blog are linked to my current email address and it is showing up on job applications (through “Workable” and any other app that uses Full Contact). Gravatar shares this private information.

  Can you please help me correct this privacy violation by removing my photo and old email from my Gravatar profile? Their support center has been “closed for the moment” for an entire day now.

  I don’t know what your Gravatar is, to verify if it is showing your email address publicly.

  But the steps to remove the email address are same as in my previous update.

  I am not sure what to do if your profile is defunct.
