Gravatar registration for a mailing list with registration

  Dear all,

  I’m posting here as the Gravatar support page is “Closed” (wtf ? how a support form can be closed is beyond me…).

  I’m member of the development team for open-source bug tracker, MantisBT. I would like to register a Gravatar for our main developers mailing list ((email visible only to moderators and staff)).

  I went through the signup process, but the confirmation e-mail never arrived. Then I realized that our mailing list requires registration, so the mail was likely rejected. Which means that it is not possible to register this e-mail with the current process…

  Can you somehow help me get that done, maybe by forwarding the activation e-mail to my own e-mail address ?

  Note: I thought about setting up a dummy address with an initial redirection to my own address, then after activation redirect it to the mailing list, but then the gravatar would not be associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff).

  Happening to me also. Gravatar support has been closed for the three days since I started the process. Their site gave me a message that it sent a confirmation email. Email address was perfectly spelled. No confirmation email in any gmail tab or spam folder. No way to contact Gravatar at all.

  Hi @dregad,

  I’ve sent you an email to the address which you have registered here with us. It should take care of you. Please keep in mind that list-serves don’t always do well with Gravatar, but this should at least get you registered!

  @ddshelby, I am sending you an email to your address on file as well. Please check that in a moment.

  I kept checking Gravatar support, and they re opened a couple of days ago. I am already up and running, but thanks anyway!

  @amightywp – as mentioned by e-mail, the link you provided me worked great and the account is now fully setup with the updated Gravatar icon

  Hello all, I am experiencing the same problem as mentioned above. I registered on WordPress.com, last week, and yesterday I tried to sign up to Gravatar with this account.

  I have been checking my mailbox frequently and no confirmation message has arrived. I can’t contact support either as it Closed.

  Could I get some help please?

  Sorry. Replying to myself (and others in my same situation).

  Although I read the FAQ yesterday, I may have passed over this post I found today while searching for a solution:

  I did what is said there (resetting WordPress.com password) and after that I could activate my Gravatar account.
