Gravatar showing up in Pinterest

    I am having an issue with my Gravatar profile picture showing up in the pinnable image gallery after clicking on the Pinterest social media icon in any of my blog posts.

    Ideally I would like to hide the Gravatar image from being pinned.

    I have tried different social media button plugins and they all pull the Gravatar profile picture as an option to pin.

    Is this normal? Is there a way around it if it is? Can I use CSS in some way to hide the Gravatar image?

    I have reached out to Gravatar and they have been unable to help me so far.

    Any advice would be so appreciated,

    Hi Kendra, I’m pretty sure Pinterest takes any images it can find on the page you’re linking to.

    If you’re really concerned about it, you could use Widget Visibility to choose to not show your gravatar on posts, as those are the content folks will most likely pin.
