Gravatar shows sometimes anf sometimes not for same author

    Hi, First time here but I need some help. This has got me totally baffled.

    I will try to explain. I am using excerpts on my front page with a gravatar of the respective author. Now 1 Author has wrote 3 Posts but his Gravatar only shows up on the first post and the last 2 he just made shows the default gravatar.

    code i am using

    $myauthor = get_the_author_email();
    echo ‘ <div class=”borders”>’ .get_avatar( $myauthor , 110).'</div>’;
    ?>

    what gets me is, when i purposely break the code dealing with echoing the email, it kills all gravatars and makes them default grey gravatars. once i fix the code properly the 1 gravatar shows up again and the other 2 posts from the same author still has the default gravatar.

    Any help is appreciated. I am trying to get my site launched and this is a huge problem i need to fix before I can do so. =(
