hi I’m about to create a Gravatar. I want people to recognise my blog when I comment, not just my name so do I put down ‘imperfectparenthood’ as my Gravatar name or do I put my name and add blog after- ‘jade from imperfectparenthood’. Thanks for your help :)

Hello there! This all depends on whether you want people to know your real name or not. If that’s ok with you, I suggest you use your name. If you prefer to work under an alias, you can use imperfectparenthood. It’s an entirely personal choice.
The Gravatar will be used to represent you in many places online, so you simply have to decide how you want to be viewed!

My suggestion is to add your blog address to My Profile → Websites, while you’re logged into Gravatar.com/. That will help people find your WordPress.com site. Beyond that, it’s unnecessary to add that information in the “Name and Details” section. Does this help?
