Gravitar image fail

Hi there,
Are you speaking of https://anotherslownewsday.wordpress.com/?
You have a different email specified in your Gravatar widget than the one used for your WordPress.com account, and the email address you used there doesn’t have an associated Gravatar.
If you want to use that email address for the widget, you need to first add it to your Gravatar profile. Log into Gravatar.com and click on My Gravatars. Then click Add email. Enter the email address and associated an image with it, and your widget will start showing that image.

Or else change your widget settings so it uses the primary email already associated with your account.

Thank you for the reply this time, kokkieh. Yes, I am asking about that Web site (my only WordPress site). However, I had already attempted to do just that. In fact, Gravitar tells me I did do just that, but only after I login. But when I click my own Gravitar image on my own site, the email address shown on my profile page (not logged in) is still the old address. So Gravitar knows I updated my email address (it confirms that when I login) but it didn’t actually update my email address anywhere except on my own account page. I can provide screen shots of these two pages if you want me to send them.

Try signing out and clearing the browser cache.
Let me know if that clears up the jumbled email issue.

Thank you too, lizkarkoski, for responding. However, that did not solve the problem either. I cleared *only* the browser cache, though, not any history, cookies, etc.

The email address you have placed in the Gravatar widget is not in Gravatar’s system.
If you added the email to your Gravatar profile, please check your email’s inbox or spam folder for a confirmation email.
-
Yes, exactly, macmanx. But I received that email confirmation over a week ago and I attempted to activate the email change by clicking the sent link. Nothing ever changed, though (except that now I don’t have a Gravitar displayed).

What’s the email address you’re trying to add to your Gravatar profile so I can have a look?
Please note that your email address will be hidden and only me and other staff members will be able to see it.
-
Thanks you too, fstat, for the assistance. Trying to add (email visible only to moderators and staff) , which displays as having been added when I login to Gravitar but not when I click the Gravitar image (or image box) on my WP pages (the image does not display, which is what started this process). The email address displayed when I click in the Gravitar is the old, defunct address.

I can see that the email address on your Gravatar profile is correct. However, the one you added to your Widget is not, that is why there is no image displaying.
You’ve added the optional URL to link to your Gravatar profile, so when someone clicks it, they indeed see your image and username but if you’ve removed the URL, it just wouldn’t work.
If you change the email address on the Widget (to the one you told us in the last reply) and publish the changes, everything should work as expected.Let me know how it goes.

Thank you, too, fresatomica, for you contribution last week to my problem (I have been too busy to respond). The problem at my end is I don’t know how to “change the email address on the Widget… and publish the change”. I thought I had done that when I changed my email address in my Gravatar profile. Apparently not, though. How do I change the email address on the Widget and then publish that change? I see no available option to do that.

A week later, fstat, and I can finally thank you for those directions (which seem overly complex to me — at least having to make so many path selections to find the email field). That did finally solve my problem.
