Gray background for the slideshow carousel

    Would it be possible for WP to offer an 18% gray background for our slideshow carousels? At the moment, the only options are white or black.

    Many art directors, photographers and imaging professionals prefer a neutral gray background– especially effective if you’re viewing a site on a calibrated monitor in low light.

    Gray has been the industry-wide standard for as long as Photoshop has been around– and this doesn’t apply only to computer monitors. The most popular professional panels for displaying artwork (such as ProPanels) are also a neutral gray.

    On WP theme backgrounds, you can sample this gray if you move the slider down about a fifth of the way.

    The current white and black options for the slideshow carousel can be overly harsh, especially if you’re working on a calibrated MAC monitor in a dimly-lit room.
