Greek Fonts in RSS feed widget not showing OK

  I am using RSS widget for a site with ads that I have (tradeordonate.com) . The problem is that if the language of the ad is in English or Italian, there is no problem. If the ad is written in Greek (with Greek fonts) the Greek characters are not showing OK. My blog is written mainly in Greek and I am not having any problems. Also I am reading the RSS feed from my ads site in various RSS readers without a problem (e.g. using RSS chrome extension).

  Hi Doros,

  It looks like the feed URL would be:

  http://tradeordonate.com/en/component/listbingo/categories/0/addons/rss/front/feeds?format=raw

  However that is still not working. I tried checking the feed using a Validator tool as seen here.

  Your feed appears to be encoded as “ISO-8859-1”, but your server is reporting “utf-8”.- Try contacting your Feed Provider about this issue.

  Thanks for your answer, gracejiyoung. So your are saying that the problem is not on wordpress.com site. That I should contact the RSS feed creator of my Joomla site, correct?

  Hi Doros,

  Yes – According to the Validator tool there are issues with the feed. Please try contacting your Feed Provider, and let me know what they say!
