How to get rid of grey background behind image?
Blog url: http://zacharydmoore.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Delete that header image from your media library. Create a header offline that is an exact fit for your theme and then upload it.

That header image is one I made for this theme (2010 I believe). What would this image have to do with the grey background behind the blog post image. (The grey only really shows up when I put a caption on the image.)
Thanks :)

Excuse me for being thick. I didn’t understand what you meant. You can remove it with CSS editing, provided you purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade.

You don’t need to pay for the custom design upgrade if you are only using captions infrequently and are not afraid of a little html coding. This code should render your picture with caption without the grey background:
<div id="attachment_84" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width:650px;border:0 none;background-color:#ffffff;"><a href="http://zacharydmoore.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/jaegersborgwatertower_seventh-floor-plan.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-84 " title="265_plan7sal" src="http://zacharydmoore.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/jaegersborgwatertower_seventh-floor-plan.jpg?w=640&h=663" alt="" width="640" height="663" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">© Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter ApS.</p></div>Compare to the original code:
<div id="attachment_84" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 650px"><a href="http://zacharydmoore.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/jaegersborgwatertower_seventh-floor-plan.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-84 " title="265_plan7sal" src="http://zacharydmoore.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/jaegersborgwatertower_seventh-floor-plan.jpg?w=640&h=663" alt="" width="640" height="663" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">© Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter ApS.</p></div>The only thing I changed was a bit of the styling:
original:
class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width:650px"
new:
class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width:650px;border:0 none;background-color:#ffffff;"
difference:
;border:0 none;background-color:#ffffff;More info here, though it is about changing the font used for the caption:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/08/01/changing-formatting-of-captions/If you use a lot of captions, you might spring for the css upgrade, but for occasional use this works for free and fine.
