Hi there, thanks for letting us know.

Have you made any changes to your browser settings or add-ons/extensions recently?

Also, when you scroll down, do you do this by clicking on the down arrow in the post editor? Or do you use a mouse with a scroll wheel or another method?

That information will help me investigate this for you. :)

    Hi there,
yes, I recently changed my add-ons. Also, I use the scroll wheel, which is on the mouse.

Thanks for that information! It looks like you’re using Internet Explorer as your browser. Can you please try opening Internet Explorer in No Add-Ons mode? Then, please open the post editor and see if the problem continues.

To open Internet Explorer in No Add-Ons mode, you can follow these steps:

    1. Click on the Start (Windows) button
    2. Click on All Programs
    3. Click on Accessories
    4. Click on System Tools
    5. Under System tools you can click on Internet explorer (No Add-ons)

If the problem goes away, you can try disabling your add-ons one by one to see which one is causing this problem.

If the problem continues even in Internet Explorer’s No Add-Ons mode, please let me know and we can keep troubleshooting this issue.

I have tried in no add-ons mode and it is still happening. When I click the grey lines, they disappear.

    Hi there,

Can you try checking on another computer to see if this also happens there?

I tried to reproduce this issue on my end and couldn’t, and this kind of behavior can sometimes be an issue with the computer’s video card or monitor. If it’s specific to your computer’s hardware, it isn’t an issue we’ll be able to fix on our end.

I have two browsers. It won’t work on IE10, but it works fine on Firefox.

Do you have another computer where you can also test it on IE10? I tried it out in IE10 on Windows 7, but I’m not getting that issue. If we can pinpoint what’s making it happen for you, we might be able to resolve it.

It only seems to happen on my IE10.

    Hi there,

From what you’ve described, this sounds like it is an issue that’s specific to your computer and possibly your computer’s hardware, rather than an issue on our end. If that’s the case, there isn’t anything I can do on this end to resolve the issue.

One thing you might want to try is resetting Internet Explorer settings, since you mentioned that the problem only started recently and is specific to IE on your computer. You could also try checking any other programs you have running at the same time (such as firewall or virus protection) to see if that’s interfering.

Finally, you might want to try scrolling very slowly or using the up/down arrows in the scrollbar to scroll, to see if that makes a difference. I hope this helps! :)
