Grey square on Bueno theme
-
Hello!
Just last night, i checked on my blog, and suddenly there was a grey square on the sidebar. I have not had this problem before. I know its nothing to do with the css code because neither me or matthew ( the other author on our blog ) have purchased the css upgrade. I dont know really how to explain it, just have a look at the blog http://storiessforsuperkids.wordpress.com/
Thanks, hope you can help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did an XHTML validation report on your main page, and what I would suggest is to remove the polldaddy poll (drag it to the “inactive widgets” area which will preserve the code and see what happens. All the errors being reported have to do with that poll.

Mmm I just got rid of the polldaddy poll but its still there!
Ill just have to live with it i suppose…

Contact staff directly and have them take a look. I could not see any issues that would cause this, but they have more tools available to them.
I might suggest that you start removing a widget at a time from your sidebar (and putting them in the “inactive widgets area” and see if the issue goes away. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with one of the widget because the issue shows up on successive blog post pages and on single post pages.

I took all the widgets off, and then on one by one, and discovered that it was a text widget with HTML in it that seemed to have caused the problem! Thanks!

You are welcome. Look over the HTML in that widget. Typically when something like this happens it is either an HTML error in a post or in a text widget. Generally a missing ending tag or perhaps invalid nesting of tags.
If you put the code here between the code tags, I can take a look at it for you if you wish.
