Greyzed THEME

is anyone know how to change the background ???
i want to submit a headerThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Greyzed does not have a custom header option. The header image that you see now encompasses the whole upper section of the blog from the navigation down to the top of the post area, and on the sides down to where it runs into just the monotone grey.
From previous threads, you have or had the CSS upgrade, you just need to create a new one with photoshop or some other image editing program and put the new link to that header into the CSS at #wrapper. It isn’t just a rectangular image though.

can i fix it ? the contain is dropping down TT______TT

Delete everything in the CSS edit window (you can save it to a plain text file first so you don’t lose any changes you have already made) then click “add to existing…” and then click save stylesheet to take you back to the original design and CSS.
Now, DO NOT EVER paste the entire CSS into the edit box here unless you are completely changing the entire CSS – ever single line. Here at wordpress.COM, that will always get you in trouble quickly. Also, when it comes time to troubleshoot or change things, it is much more easy to see what you have done.
Paste only the specific selectors and the specific declarations that you are changing or adding.
First though, read and understand this post by devblog on doing CSS here at .COM.
http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/
Start with your changes one selector at a time and preview in between each addition or change. That way you can easily and quickly see when things are going wrong.

Hi – having a challenge with the neu at top of page. As I put the mouse over the menu tabs where I have a drop down – as i move the cursor down to click on the dropdown – the dropdown disappears before I get a chance to click on it. Can you assist?
Thanks! ;-0http://www.teamtrivani.wordpress.com or

@teamtrivani, this is a separate issue and I would suggest in the future starting a new thread so we don’t get two different conversations on two different problems confused.
I’m using Mac 10.6.3 with Safari 5 and Firefox 3.5.9 and don’t have any trouble with the menus. They expand down and I can move my mouse down and click on them easily.
What operating system are you using and what browser and browser version?
-
@teamtrivani It looks like it’s an issue with Internet Explorer 7 (that’s been corrected with version 8). It will only happen if there are menu items overflowing into a second level in Greyzed and a drop down menu appears above an overflowed menu item. I’m looking into a fix.
-
@teamtrivani For now, I’d recommend simplifying the menu for your site (I see you’re using Custom Menus—excellent!). Modern web browsers (including the current version of Internet Explorer) will have no trouble with the menu but if you want to make sure that visitors using Explorer 7 don’t experience anything wonky, that’s the best bet.

Hi, I’ve recently changed themes for my blog and used Greyzed. I love it so much, however, I have 2 questions.
1. I cannot add Menu, I tried adding pages but when I click the link, nothing’s showing. I downloaded Custom Menu but it only works on side bar, I want it on the nav bar.
2. My logo seemed to overlap with nav bar. I tried adjusting the margins and padding but it didn’t work.
Thanks. :) :)
-
“when I click the link, nothing’s showing”.
When you click which link? Nothing showing where?
-
On my nav bar i have Home and Family. When I click Family tab, it’s not showing the posts under Family category. What I did is add a page named Family. :(
-
A “Family” page (created in Pages > Add New) will display the contents of that page, not the posts filed under a category that happens to have the same name.
Appearance>Menus: check Family in Categories module, click Add to Menu. Same thing for whatever else you want included in your top menu. The items you will have selected will show up in the (Primary) Menu module: click Save Menu. Then, in the Theme Locations module, select Primary Menu from dropdown, click Save.
-
Thanks! :)
I’ve done the first part, however I cannot find the Theme Locations module. :( Also my Menu module have this message:
“The current theme does not natively support menus, but you can use the “Custom Menu” widget to add any menus you create here to the theme’s sidebar. “
:(
-
Are you talking about another blog, or are you accidentally on the dashboard of another blog? In http://theblackfedorablog.com you’re using Greyzed, and Greyzed does support custom menus, so you shouldn’t be seeing that message.
-
It’s the same blog http://theblackfedorablog.com. Yeah, it’s weird coz I don’t see Theme Locations. :( I switched to Greyzed yesterday coz I desperately wanted the menu tabs.
-
The message “The current theme [etc.]” is supposed to show up in the Theme Locations module when the theme doesn’t support Menus. If you’re not seeing the Theme Locations module, then where are you seeing the message?
-
Thanks for clearing it up. So am at the Theme Locations. But there’s no Primary Menu. Am seeing only Custom Links, Pages and Categories. Am I on the right module? Sorry to bug you with all these questions, I am not that techie. :(
-
First, to clear up the jargon: when you click Menus under Appearance, you bring up the Menu screen. The various rounded boxes on it are the modules.
Now, on the Menu screen you should be seeing the Pages etc. modules in the left column, and the main menu module in the right (with labels above it, saying Primary and Secondary, or other names if you have renamed the menus or added new ones, or just a cross if you have deleted them).
First try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. (What browser and version are you using?) If after that you still see no main menu module, and see the wrong message although you’re using Greyzed, it’ll be time to contact staff:
-
Now I know what the Main Menu module is. Yes I have that but I still have the wrong message showing up. For the browser, am using Chrome 5.0.375.70.
-
Looks like I am able to find a tweak, instead of using the Menu which for some reasons is not working for me, I added this code on my header.php
<li<?php
if (is_category(‘Design’) || in_category(’10’) && !is_single())
{
echo ” id=”current””;
}?>>
/category/design”>DesignI think this will do for the meantime. Thanks much for your help.:)
