Gridiculous Pro Post Formatting
-
Just purchased Gridiculous Pro for my wordpress.com blog. Am so frustrated, as working with the blog is nothing like shown, in the creator’s video. Can you please tell me exactly where to look to find the 5 ways to format posts? Gallery, video, link, status etc? The more specific the better, as I am terribly lost.
Thank you so much,

The first place to learn about any theme is its Theme Showcase page: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/gridiculous-pro/ Make sure to click on the “Support” button in the right sidebar for more information on configuring that theme.
Also, since Premium theme is a paid upgrade, part of that payment is access to a special forum with direct support from the theme author or theme Support staff. You’ll need to be logged in with the username account that purchased the theme in order to post there. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/gridiculous-pro

Thank you for your response. I’ve not found what I need in the support page, which is why I came here. I’ve tried to log into the premium theme forum but cannot get in. I’ve emailed them for help and am still waiting for a response, but you can imagine my frustration.
Again thank you for your response.I’ve wasted so much time being directed to the same pages over and over. I was literally in tears last night. My frustration is getting in my way lol. Thanks again.

I can certainly help you with your question about post formats as that is really rather generalized and I truly apologize for not reading your post carefully and sending you on what seems a wild goose chase. Since I don’t have access to the Premium theme you are using, there may be a slight difference in how things work on the back end.
Post Formats are only available on Posts and not Pages. When in the Post Editor screen, you should see the Post Formats Module with a radio button where you can select the type of format you wish to apply to your Post. If you don’t see the module, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right corner of your Editor and make sure that Post Formats is checked.
Post formats in general only affect how the post will be displayed on the Front/Home page of your site, so you won’t see it when you preview your post. Here’s more: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/
I hope that helps somewhat and, again, my apologies!

Thank you Jennifer, no apologies needed! The clarification is most helpful! I get overwhelmed with all the different options and what they are called. Which, is why I shouldn’t try to do this stuff when I’m sleepy! What you say makes sense. I think I was getting hung up on not seeing it when I was trying to preview my post.
All your help is much appreciated!
