Gridspace: "Live Preview" not working for me

I was prowling from my site through Appearance —> Themes to check out the others. However, unlike all the other themes I played with, the Gridspace “Live Preview” doesn’t seem to be working for me. The customizing column opens readily on the right side of the screen, but when I associate some of my Library Media photos, they don’t appear in a vertical and horizontal grid, but scatter on the page. I can also click the various color schemes, but they don’t appear in the preview. When I click on a menu item in the preview, I am sent back to my own site page of that name, not a Gridspace preview page.
Is this because my site is so sparely filled at the moment that it gives the preview nothing to work with or because Gridspace is so different from Sunspot that there aren’t equivalents? I looked at quite a few sites that use this theme in the wild and see where it will do what I want grid-wise, both with blog posts and static pages and is also quite flexible. What can I do to get the preview to work for me?
I planned to post this in the Premium Themes: Gridspace forum, but could not find a way to add a new post there.

The Gridspace “Live Preview” is now working for the front page of the preview. Colors, background, and header are all editable, but when clicking on sub-pages, I am immediately shunted back to that page in my own Sunspot-themed site. No soup for me!
Does this preview always work this way or is it just my bad luck?

No change from the last post. Clicking on page names takes me to that page on my Sunspot themed active site, not a Gridspace preview version. Was anyone able to let them know at the Grispace theme section of the forum?
