Gridspace theme – Why are my Thumbnail Orientation icons faded?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, for the past few days the Thumbnail Orientation icons in my blog are faded – blurred, especially the light grey one. I’ve tried various things (reverting to default fonts & colours, removing the background, removing the header image etc.) but nothing helps. Can you help me? the url is : http://tholossantorini.wordpress.com/

    Thanking you in advance

    Hi there,

I’m not quite sure that I’m seeing what you’re describing. Each of your images are quite vibrant and sharp when I load it. This is what I see:

Let me know if you’re still seeing it. You might also want to try loading your site in a different browser or even a different computer to see if that might be the issue for you!

Thanks for your reply – I’m not talking about my personal images. I’m referring to the small square icons the user clicks to change the page view – vertical images or feed with image & text.

As I mentioned in my previous message, the grey box icon is barely visible and the black icon is slightly blurred. This is a recent problem and was fine during the first days. I am a Chrome user – I checked it out out Firefox and it looks a bit better but not great.

So basically if the visitor doesn’t know this feature is there, he or she will never get to use it. Both browsers are up to date btw. Is there some I can do or should do to correct this problem? Or perhaps something you guys could do?

    Heya,

I apologize for the confusion! I took a specific look at these images, and those icons are also showing crystal clear for me (taken in Chrome):

One will naturally be faded and grey as it is deactivated. When it is activated it is black and the other faded and grey. But both are high-resolution icons so should load without any issue.

:) no prob – I saw the screen shot – it looks perfect there, just not showing up properly in a live view from where I’m sitting. Maybe Greece’s crisis has hit my monitor .. Well what can I say? As I said, all was well until about 5-6 days ago. I don’t care if I can see it clearly (why would I after all?) – I’m concerned about everyone else – p.s. I know the grey = deactivation etc.

Don’t worry, I’m not blowing you off! I am having some colleagues check to see how it appears to them as well, however it is Saturday morning here and I’m not sure when they are getting in. :(

At the latest, some time Monday I’ll get back to you if we have been able to replicate any sort of weirdness with the icons. Who knows? Maybe my computer is pulling it fine but others’ are not! We’re certainly going to test it fully for you!

Ok thanks – have a great weekend, and oh yes, hello from Santorini :)

    Heya,

Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to make sure that I got a number of people to look at your site. I’m afraid that none of us have been able to replicate any sort of blur or unordinary look to those icons.

Screenshots can be a huge help in cases like these – can you please take a screenshot and then upload it to your Media Library and then paste the link back here so I can better understand the issue?
