Grom wordpress.com to wordpress.org

  • Unknown's avatar

Until recently, I didn’t even know it existed wordpress.org. Surfing the net, I found out it is better using it rather than wordpress.com
    Is it true?
I want to change my blog and transfer it into a wordpress.org blog, but I don’t know how. Can someone explain me?
I already have some followers and posts, how can I directly transfer them? Or do I have to delete everything and lose my followers?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching here :)

First of all, I recommend you to take enough time to consider which WordPress(.com and .org) is better for your site managing. The differences between them can be found at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/.

After a careful consideration, if you make up mind to move to a self-hosted site with WordPress.org, the following support page provides the step by step instructions.

Don’t worry about it. Even subscribers you have now will be migrated to WordPress.org site through Jetpack. Needless to say, posts on your site will be migrated too through export tool.

I hope this information helps you.
    Thanks :)
