grrr changing fonts in themes?

    No. That only applies to fonts added via HTML/CSS editing.

    I mean selectors are typed or pasted in the field that says “Selectors”. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

    Yes and yes. (Why on earth would I tell you to type anything other than the exact thing you need to type?)

    will it change the body copy, the headline font, or both?

    Each selector controls one particular element.”#content” is for the body of your posts. For post titles you need another selector, for the blog title you need another one, etc. etc.

    Can’t I just change the theme to one that has sans serif type

    You seem too intimidated or reluctant, so yes, you’d better just change to a different theme. Relevant list here:
