Guest authorship
-
Hi,
I’m going to have people writing guest posts/articles for my wordpress website. It will be typical that they won’t have their google+ accounts or wordpress accounts – how do I make them authors of a post/article?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If they do not wish to register WordPress.com accounts then they can email posts to you directly. You can type their author byline onto the top line in the body of the post and copy and paste the content and publish it.

OK. Now I see I wasn’t clear.
If I write a post, I’m author by default. There’s a separate line that says so by default. Now how do I replace my name in that very line with a guest author’s line if I don’t want to/can’t add them as users?Or: can I add them as users if they dont have google or wordpress or whatever account?

You cannot “replace” your author name. They are either made into authors and the software supplies their author names or or they aren’t and their names will not appear. If they aren’t official authors then your name appears as author which is why I posted what I did above.
Or: can I add them as users if they dont have google or wordpress or whatever account?
