Guest post – with a link in it

Hi I have been approached by a site to host a guest post for free. I like the content and it is relevant to a series I am running on my blog, I am concerned though that this might be considered a link for search results purposes and don’t want to breach the terms of service. Where can i find clarification of whether I can post this on my blog or not?

I hate those; they’re so spammy. It is bad for your blog to host this material for many reasons, including losing search engine ranking if the material is duplicated on other sites (which it almost certainly is).
You’ll have to wait till next week for a response from staff as they are on a retreat.

You may post whatever you’d like on your blog, provided the content does not violate our terms of service and you are not receiving any sort of compensation for the post.
As it sounds like you will not be receiving any compensation for the post (including, money, free goods, etc.), you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

I’m with raincoaster. There isn’t day that goes by that I don’t get multiple emails from scammy and spammy would-be guest bloggers and I refuse them all because they do not fall within the confines of my guest posting policy. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/guest-posts/
