Guestbook again
-
Why not have a wordpress.com guestbook feature? Is a feature very similar to the feedback form. It was possible to make the contact form and comments safe, they can also make a secure guestbook. The guestbook outsourced spoils the look of the blog. I do not want to create a page called Guestbook with the possibility of feedback. I do not want to be able to comment on the comments.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you use the third party guest book on a page you can disable comments on that page. We can over-ride the default set here > Settings > Discussion on any single post or page. Below the editor box you will finda Discussion modeule:
__Allow comments.
__Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page
Remove the checkmarks to disable comments and pingbacks (click Save, Publish or Update)Reference link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/guestbook/

You are not limited to using the slideshare interactive guestbook. You can use a hosted guestbook like this free one and simply link to it from your blog. http://www.ultraguest.com/

I know I can disable the comments on one page. I was told that I have two options: either I create an empty page allowing comments, that is, pretending that it is a guestbook, or disable the comments and I use an external guestbook. I do not want any of these options.
-
As you are aware that there are only two option and neither one suits you all I can say is I’m sorry that we cannot help you.

OOPS! I forgot to say that if you wish to propose your idea directly to Staff here’s the link. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Sorry if I did not express myself properly to you. First I contacted the support from wordpress.com to see if there was the feature guest book. They told me they had not and suggested I open a discussion forum community. The fact that there is an appeal does not mean it will never exist. That is what I discuss here. No one else cares that wordpress.com develop the resource guestbook? He is much like the comments feature. Just a minor adjustment. Do not misunderstand me. I do not want the two options that exist today (book or comments from third parties). I want the worpress.com provide this feature in your environment. You do not agree this is a basic thing?
-
It’s not a basic thing anymore. It hasn’t been for about four years; it’s considered antiquated now. For a large number of both technical and community-building reasons, it’s considered more desireable to encourage people to leave comments on the blog.
I’ve been here five years and I really don’t think I’ve seen a request for a guestbook in the last three.
