  I need to move media files from wordpress.com to another host. this is an item for a wordpress happiness engineer

  Really? You can create an export file and then import the file into a WordPress.org install all by yourself. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org

  If you want to purchase a guided transfer you can do that. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/

  You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard and purchase any upgrade at > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

  After you purchase a the Guided Transfer Upgrade Staff will contact you via the email address associated with your username account. Do note that allowing anyone at all access to your login information and the ability to use it is a security risk.
