Guided Transfer

Can I have my blog done by guided transfer and NOT “switch” to the new blog (on .ORG) until I’ve finished working on it? Can the old blog (.COM) stay the live blog until I am prepared to relaunch?
See, I’d like to have my content on the new site so I can play with new themes, customize CSS and other such things, but would like the blog, the .COM to stay up and active until I’m fully prepared to switch.
Is this possible?

We can do that. We’ll move the site over and hold off on making the DNS changes to point your domain to your new site, then let you know how to map the domain locally so that they can make the changes to your new site without it being live.
Please keep in mind that any new content that comes in on your WordPress.com site after the transfer will not be transferred over in your Guided Transfer. You will have to export and import that content when you’re ready to push your site live.
