Guidelines regarding posting sensitive content

Hello! I am an aspiring blogger and through my blog I aim to share my story of struggling with suicide, self-harm and other mental health and family issues. The aim of my work is to spread awareness regarding such topics and prove that these are real problems that people struggle with. Thus, I have shared about personal experiences in a very raw manner. I can edit those parts which are especially triggering but I want to maintain as much rawness as possible in order to present how the natural flow of thoughts goes on in someone’s mind when they are trying to heal from their past wounds. I am not promoting suicide or self-harm. I just want to create an online space where people can talk openly about their struggles. But, still I was afraid that my content may get blocked by the official site. So, I decided to reach out and directly whether there are any special guidelines to follow while posting such content. I have put two triggers on my blog – one on the home page banner and another right above the title of the blog. I will add helpline numbers as well. But, still is there something else that I can do to prevent my content from getting banned? Thank you.

    Hello!

Thanks for reaching out! It’s a difficult topic to cover on the public support forums as our User Guidelines and Terms of Service can change at any time and these forums are indexed by Google.

I’m going to have our Trust and Safety team reach out to you via email directly to address your questions and concerns. It may take a few days for them to reach out, but they will get back to you.

I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything else.
