It’s very clumsy and very difficult to work with. The old editor was better. Why not leave us the choice? It’s almost like it breaks up a post into a series of tables. People don’t compose like that in the real world. I hate it a lot.

    Hi there!

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us.
I understand this is a new interface and involves a learning phase.

It’s almost like it breaks up a post into a series of tables.
The new editor puts everything in blocks. Blocks are things like headings, text, lists, and images etc and give more fine control to the user.

If you want to switch back to the classic editor-

Open any post for editing and click on the 3 dots on the top right corner. Scroll down and click Switch to Classic Editor at the bottom.

We are happy to help if you could share any particular issue that you’re having trouble with.

We have a how-to support document for the new editor-https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/

    Hope that helps :)

It’s not a very good UI design. WordPress should re-think it. Many people prefer to work with a unitary document. This ‘Lotus Notes Style’ design is disruptive to creative flow.

    Hi there,

Why not leave us the choice?

I understand your frustration, but I just wanted to confirm that you can switch to the Classic Editor using the details @yashitamittal11 provided, and WordPress.com is committed to supporting the Classic Editor until 2022, so you have plenty of time to transition.

Gutenberg will still be the future though as several years of development has gone into it from what’s been said so far, but you can still contribute feedback here: https://wordpressdotorg.survey.fm/gutenberg-support

Let us know if you have any further questions or issues. :)
