Gutenberg Block Editor
-
I built an entire site offline using the block editor. Now that the site is online the block editor is gone. I am using version 5.2.2. Do you need to upgrade your WP account to use the block editor, because on all the posts I don’t see any of the available solution to activate the editor. Not in user or setting.
Thank you in advance to your help.

Hi –
Since you are using version 5.2.2 this indicates that your site is not on our managed hosting environment at WordPress.com. Rather, you are set up with the open source WordPress.org software. Help for that comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Please share the site URL none the less so we can confirm that for you.

Thanks for sharing. Oaklandaudiology.com is not a WordPress.com site. Instead, it is set up on the open source WordPress.org software.
Help for that version of WordPress comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
There is a tick box option on your WordPress user profile that could’ve been ticked and thus hide the block editor.
Another thing is to check and make sure you didn’t install the classic editor plugin.

Hi
Thanks for your help. Where is this tick box in the user profile all I have is the ability to turn on or off visual editor. Nothing to turn on or off the block editor.
All I see is under personal options is
Visual Editor
Syntax Highlights
Admin color scheme
Keyboard shortcuts
Toolbar
name
User name

Make sure you didn’t install the Classic Editor plugin.
That will override the Block Editor if active.
If you don’t have that plugin, I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ since you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site, not a WordPress.com site.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
