Guys it’s 2026 now

Virtually every other social media platform let’s you delete comments you’ve made on other people’s posts, pages, etc.
But not WordPress.
Is there a reason why?
So many blogs have been abandoned and the whole tripe – contact the blog owner and ask them – especially when the blog was authored anonymously under a burner email – doesn’t hold water anymore.
Please please please I just need to delete some comments I made 13 years ago, which do not reflect me at all, yet at the time I had my full legal name as my profile handle, you can imagine the damages this has caused my reputation. And I admit, it was my fault for engaging in the blog to begin with. But should my legal name forever be indexed to those comments?
This is absurd.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

wordpress.com isn’t a social media platform but a hosting provider. Therefore wordpress.com won’t and legally can’t delete content on a site they host on their servers.
The only solution is to contact the owners of those sites. Mind removing those comments won’t make them disappear from the internet.

Then there should be stipulation for abandonded websites
What if someone commented some kind of personally compromising information or something that was considered hate speech?
You mean to tell me there is no recourse and once a comment is published it is set in stone?
