    Hello there!

I’ve answered your questions about moving to a self-hosted site below:

    1. Can I keep my domain name

Absolutely. You can either transfer it to your new domain host, or you can keep it here, since you’ve paid for the additional year, and we can simply “point” it to your new web host.

Here is information about transferring a domain:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

Here is information about mapping at WordPress.com domain to a non-WordPress.com site:
    en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

Either way will work. Just let us know how you want to proceed.

    2. I prepaid & my payment was not due till march 26-15… How do I go about getting a refund? 3. Do you apply in to my credit card?.

If you choose to transfer your domain, I can refund your recent renewal charge. If you’d like to leave the domain here for a year and map it to your new site, you can let the charge stand. Again, your choice!

The refund will be issue to your credit card.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Thank you for your quick response.

Just one more question… I have a lot of photos how do I prevent one from coping them of the site… Is there a lock system or domain name that can go on pics?

    Cheers

    Hello there!

That’s a great question. At WordPress.com, there isn’t a way to lock the images. The photographers and artists who use our hosting add copyright information into a widget. Some of them even choose to add it in a caption area for each photo.

This is how they protect their artwork.

I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!
