H5P Plugin

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there,

I am currently trying to install the H5P plugin and utilise it within my WordPress site. However I am unable to do so as there is no option to ‘Add New’ plugin within my WordPress dashboard screen. I have tried to access the option via the wp-admin domain, yet when I click on ‘plugin’, I am simply redirected me to the standard ‘plugin’ webpage. I am required to demonstrate successful integration of the H5P plugin within a blog post in order to pass a course at university.

Many thanks in advance to anyone able to assist.

  • Hey there,

You won’t find a plugin tab in the dashboard because plugins are installed and utilized solely for those with self-hosted WordPress.ORG installs:
    http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

The good news is that there are plenty of plugins already bundled and configured within the WordPress.COM blog/site. You can find out about bundled WordPress.com plugins here:

    Plugins

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Yeah but none of those plugins do the job of h5p!

Please post to the correct support forums and pose your question there:
    https://wordpress.org/support/

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
    (3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/

  • @auadams if it helps, you can install your own copy of WordPress at another host. We have some recommended hosts here:

    https://get.wp.com

And here’s how to move your content over: https://move.wordpress.com

    Cheers :)
