Hacked

My website got ‘hacked’. I personally think by my website designer. They never gave me the username and password for the site. Is there anyway that wordpress can search me up as the owner of the site and help me fix this?

Hi there,
Apologies, but we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host augusttales.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions. You can learn more about the performance and security benefits of our managed hosting here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at corecutsolutions.com. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue. Specifically we use a custom login system on WordPress.com for enhanced security, and because of this our procedures for regaining account access do not work on sites hosted with other providers.
In this case you will need to work with your hosting provider to get help in this instance. I recommend contacting corecutsolutions.com for further assistance since they are in the best position to help. Thanks!

Is corecutsolutions.com the company holding my site hostage? I used Premier Logo Design to build and secure my site for me. I have no idea who corecutsolutions.com is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again,
It’s difficult for us to say since we were not involved in this project or in hosting your site. I was only able to determine you host by looking up the DNS history for augusttales.com

We are not able to help further but you may wish to contact your web designer to ask if they have a backup of the site from before it was hacked so you can restore your site to that point.
