Hi, I believe that my blog ‘blackshepherd’ has been hacked as I noticed that my last post was sent to sent to blackshepherd's which corresponds to an IP address: 208.91.199.19 and Indian address which also comes up as http://www.sharmila.co.in – I’ve given no such entitiy permission. My blog is weird, granted, but I keep it private. I’m hoping you can help by eliminating this apparent hacker. Thank you

also, I’m not sure if this blog is still connected to the e-mail address: (email visible only to moderators and staff)…which was hacked and no longer exists. My current e-mail addresses are: (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff)…thank you

If your email was hacked as you mentioned in this post, if you have posting by email enabled, this may explain how you have an odd post in your site, even if it is private.

Thank you. This happened to me once before and wordpress was able to delete the e-mail connection but I have not heard from them this time in over 24 hours

Also, my member picture is gone now too and I have no idea where that has gone…Plus the whole appearance of the page changed…

Hi, Thank you so much for response. This makes me very anxious. I did not receive a strange post. I noticed that the appearance of my page when writing a post changed and when I post to my ‘private’ blog I get: “posted to blackshepherd&039;s weblog” So, it appears that my post are being posted somewhere else. Recently, my Hotmail account was hacked and I ended up losing that account which I’ve had for about 10 years with lots of content. I googled the #039 weblog and found a connection to the ip address I’ve already shared…there was also a defunct blog associated with that ip address in India or Pakistan. The former proprietor of that blog wrote that she enjoys writing poetry so it’s very weird…thank you for the idea about how to get my gravatar pic back…I’ll try that. But the only evidence of the problem I’ve outlined comes when I hit the post button and get the message I described…thank you. Please stay with me on this till it’s resolved. I don’t want to be connected in anyway to any entities in India or Pakistan right now…or anywhere else for that matter without my knowledge and permission…thanks again. Peace

The new post page at https://wordpress.com/post/ did just get an update, so if it looks different than you remember that’s why. There’s nothing to worry about there. :)
From what I see on your account, all of your new posts are being correctly posted to your private blog here: http://blackshepherd.wordpress.com/
I don’t see any evidence that your posts are ending up anywhere besides that, including the blog at http://www.sharmila.co.in/ that you mentioned earlier.
If you’re seeing your posts on that other blog, or anywhere else, please send me a link to the post so I can take a look.

I really appreciate your prompt response. The only evidence I have of something being wrong is, as I said…when I hit ‘post’…it give me that message re: #039;s weblog…do you know what that indicates? I’ll try it again now to see if it continues to happen…thanks

when I cut and posted this to the previous message to you it came out as you see on previous…it does not include the mysterious #039…what is up with this? I’m spooked…

When you see the message “posted to blackshepherd&039;s weblog” that’s referring to your blog’s title. The apostrophe in “blackshepherd’s” is unfortunately getting turned into the HTML code &039; which is why it looks funny there. (When you write out that HTML code, the forum software here will automatically convert it into an apostrophe for you.) I’ve reported that to our team so they can fix it up so it gives the correct title “blackshepherd’s weblog.”

when I cut and paste it the ' does not stay attached. I believe I’m being monitored and #039 refers to the monitor. I hope you have a better and less paranoid explanation….thanks again
