hacked
-
Hello. I launched a new website this spring, and unfortunately just within the last few weeks it has been hacked. After speaking with Tech Support at FatCow, my husband deleted approx 300 malicious files so that the site could be re-launched. Unfortunately, in the process… it seems that some of the files we NEED were also deleted, and so now the site is ‘broken.’ I am now unable to get into the site at all… or to the wp-admin login….. it’s just all error messages. I’m a true novice here and am really at a loss. Of course it also seems that our back ups have not been happening and so I can’t find my original text ANYWHERE. I am desperately hoping that I don’t have to re-write and re-build the entire site, but it’s not looking good. Does anyone have suggestions of how I might find the text that was there? I’d be grateful for any thoughts / ideas. Thanks!

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.

If you are asking for help with a WordPress.COM site then we need a link to that site to give you accurate help.
