Hacked account

  My wordpress.com account has been compromised.
  Some one hacked my account, changed the password & turned on 2 step authentication (using SMS authentication)

  Now I can change the password, but cannot login to my account, because my account now is bound to hackers phone number.

  More info about account recovery, https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/. I also tagged this thread with modlook to get attention from staff; they have access to logfiles to see what happened exactly.

  @gemmacevans could you possibly help me too please?

  My site was hacked and the host has since put redirects to brand.com as a security measure, however, with these in place I am unable to access to run tests to find the culprit code :(

  I need to resolve this ASAP!

  I did not find a WordPress.com username for stregisvillamauritius this along with you mentioning you were working with a host leads me to conclude you are trying to recover and clean up a self-hosted WordPress site.

  These forums are for sites running on WordPress.com or those that have been connected to our services via Jetpack. As WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress sites are different we don’t have access to your site to help you clean it up.

  For help resetting your self-hosted password and cleaning up your site I’d recommend working with your host directly and reviewing this article
