  My blog is getting hacked all day today. I have over 8,888 views from all around the world. This is highly unusual. I have a .com blog and not a .org blog. Please check on this. Thank you.

  Hi there,

  What makes you think your site is getting hacked? “Hacked” means someone gained access to your account, and is making unauthorised changes to your account and/or your sites. There is absolutely no evidence that anything like that has happened.

  A high number of views on your site just means people are finding your site online and visiting it. It’s not in any way evidence of your site or account being compromised, and something most bloggers want to happen.

  Based on your site stats, almost all these views are coming from Google searches, which means your site has somehow managed to reach the top of Google search results for a popular search term. It’s certainly unusual, but by no means impossible. I suggest you enjoy the increased traffic while it lasts, as it’s very likely temporary.

  2-20 views a day are normal for my blog. Going to well over 12,000 views today is not normal no matter how I am ranking on Google.

  Hi there,

  Like @kokkieh said, this is absolutely normal. Google is simply including your site in its top results and this is not a sign of unusual activity.
