hacked – can't access website and admin
-
I got hacked and now I can’t access my website from my laptop (it’s saying it’s not safe), but I can access from my ipad. I can’t get into my admin when on the laptop. I’ve been able to rebuild my site. It’s fine on the ipad. But I think other people probably can’t access it either. I’ve fixed the security settings, which I have previously neglected. I don’t even know where to start with being able to access my website from the mac.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
I am sorry to know that your site got hacked.
I have checked your site and found that it is not hosted with WordPress.com. You are using a self hosted version of WordPress at BlueHost.
If you can share a bit more details about how did you found that your site was hacked, I might find some helpful information for you.
The SSL certificate for your site was expired 13 days ago. This is why you were getting a security warning.
However, I was able to visit the homepage without any issue.
Only the login page had SSL and was showing the error.
You can either renew the certificate or remove it.
Please let me know what you have decided :)

Thank you. I received a security email from wp saying about file changes, that I didn’t do, files added and deleted. Also I noticed I had a lot of users, which I deleted. Also the site wasn’t working. I assumed this meant I had been hacked.
I didn’t realise the SSL certificate was expired. Thank you for letting me know about that.
Why can’t I access the admin page from my laptop? Will I be able to access it again when I update the SSL certificate?
Actually what it says when I try to access the admin page is something like …
Your clock is ahead
A private connection can’t be established because your computers date and time are incorrect…When I look at the homepage, images are missing, that aren’t missing on the iPad.
Thank you for your assistance:)

1. If you renew or remove the SSL certificate, you should be able to access the login page.
2. Please check the date time settings on your computer.
3. The iPad might be showing a cached copy of your site.
4. What was the role of extra users? Were all of them “subscribers”? If yes, then your site was attacked by spam bots. The Akismet plugin is really helpful to tackle this.
5. If there was any new “Administrator” account and file modifications, then you were definitely hacked. You can hire a professional developer to investigate the issue and prevent this from happening further.
