Hacking my posts-how can I stop this
-
I am worried that every 3-5 days someone is hacking my posts page and able to insert a junk post on to the website which automatically appears on my twitter feed. How is this possible when I have two step verification security. I am not sure if is a script or real hacker that is achieving this. I have changed my passwords several times, and still the penetration occurs. How do I strengthen the security of my site so that only me, and no one else can update the posts and main webpages. Can I lock all updates to only my home pc and nowhere else. Can I freeze my post page indefinitely and I can update my web pages in the normal way. Have I got the wrong security settings on my site

Hi there,
I checked your blog, and it looks like the problem is with your Post by Email address. On May 19, May 27, and May 28, spammy blog posts were posted to your blog via email.
That can happen if someone gains access to your secret post by email address. To fix it, you can regenerate your secret post by email address or delete your post by email address. Either way, anyone who has your current post by email address won’t be able to use it any longer.
Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)

thanks for your prompt reply. Just to check with you, is this accessed via the My Blogs section of the Dashboard. I have deleted the email address that was there. Is that sufficient to delete post by email functionality. thanks.

Hi there,
Yes, deleting the post by email address from the My Blogs section of the dashboard will disable the post by email functionality. If you notice any strange or spammy posts on your blog after this, please let me know and we can investigate to see if something else is going on. :)
