Ham comments?

  The number of “ham” comments Akismet claims to have detected (1) does not match up to my actual comment count (0). My blog is just starting out, and I don’t want to miss any comments! Anyone know what’s the deal?

  The deal is that the very worst spam that has virus, malware and code that dould bring down many blogs is not made avaialable to us. It’s removed so we don’t find it in Moderation.   Yeah but I’m talking about “ham”, which is supposed to be a legitimate comment, right?

  That’s right and it means the placehloder comment provided with every new wordpress.com blog was not spam.
