Ham comments?
-
Hello,
for some reason, Akismet tells me that it has allowed 54 ham comments, while in reality, I only have 6 comments. Is there any explanation for this big number? I know that they can’t be comments falsely flagged as spam, because there is only one such comment that I had to mark as legitimate.
Here are some screenshots.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Pardon: there were actually TWO such comments I had to unmark as spam. The first one was a legitimate comment by a blogger, the second one was a test comment I did while logged out. So that would make two false positives.

Hello,
it’s been roughly 11 days since I made this topic.
In the mean time, both my spam count and ham count have risen by 3.
I have received one legitimate comment; it did not go into my spam folder.
I am starting to think that the counter might be tracking ham as both spam and ham, for whatever reason… (meaning that instead of tracking legitimate comments ONLY, it displays the combined number of spam and ham tracked, if that makes sense.) – Though that still does not explain the big discrepancy in numbers.Let us assume that the ham counter is actually a combination of both the spam and legitimate comments; 33 + 7 = 40. But there’s still 17 missing.
Ah, well. Not that it bothers me too much, though I do wonder about the big number. Maybe one day, I’ll solve the mystery behind this :)
