ham counter by Akismet but not there otherwise

  My Akismet Stats has 27 hams for May, and the figure seems to be growing quite steadily. I do not get comments, however, and I have deleted only one pingback a couple of weeks ago. I have only 9 comments altogether (as is correctly counted by the WordPress Stats). So I don’t understand what is being counted by Akismet.
  Can you help me and explain what is going on? Thank you.
