Hamburger menu doesn’t work on mobile

    Hey, I’m trying out the Twenty Twenty-four theme at macrolog.wordpress.com. When I press the hamburger menu on mobile, a box flashes around the menu and nothing else happens. The menu works fine on my desktop, even when I reduce the browser size till the hamburger appears or when I click mobile view.

    I get the same lack of result on the Twenty Twenty-four theme demo page.

    I reset the WordPress site and deleted history and website data on my phone in Safari; I run Google in incognito mode. Thanks for your help.

    PS, I’m on the free plan so have installed no plugins. After the reset, I have made no changes.
