Haphazard billing
-
Dear ‘happiness engineers’,
My card was charged without my approval, saying that the domain name will expire on June 10. Firstly, there is still a lot of time up to the said date and, secondly, I want to be asked whether I intend to renew my domain name or not. I kindly ask for a detailed tracking of my payments, starting with 2017. I also request that starting with 2020, STOP!!! automatic use of my card.
Furthermore, the amount that you have deducted is not what I have agreed to pay!!! I am deeply troubled by the ungranted liberties that you take at my expense! Please clarify and explain your steps ASAP!!!

Hi @ifirar, we bill one month in advance so we can address any billing issues that come up before the domain would actually expire or renew.
We also send notices via email leading up to the charge, so that it’s not a surprise. I did notice, though, that those notifications would have gone to another account and email address, since there aren’t any upgrades associated with the ifirar account.
Can you log out, and log back into the correct account, then get in touch? If you don’t remember the username or email address associated with the other account, please send a link to the domain that you were charged for. We’d be happy to help you work this out.
