‘hard’ links and embedding

  I have moved from blogger, and am generally very happy indeed. However, I need to embed my blog postings in another website.

  In the past, I have done this by creating an embedded object which shows the past month’s archive page, as this was a fixed url:
  e.g. http://lornajay.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

  embedded at:
  http://www.spreadeaglejedburgh.co.uk/blogs.html

  However, I don’t seem to be able to find a filename that I can use to do this on wordpress.

  Am I being dense, or is it not possible?

  Were you embedding them using an RSS feed? If that was the case you can use your RSS feed at:

  http://lornajay.wordpress.com/feed/

  I see know that you have a real ‘live’ include of your site. I haven’t seen that before. Maybe someone else knows how you did this with blogger.

  Just for reference, each month’s posts are given a static URL. You actually already have links to them within your Archive widgets within your sidebar. Just use those with your offsite website.

  Either that or the RSS feed that Trent mentions.

  Thanks. I’ve never used an rss feed, so that’s something new to learn. I’ll toddle over and have a look at the archive code and see where I go from there.

  Botheration. The static URL doesn’t include an actual filename i.e. xxxx.html or similar, and that’s what I need for my embedded object code to work.

  Any ideas at all?
