Harmonic Front Page
-
Hi
I have set up a new blog
http://www.nigeriastreets.com
I do not seem to be able to replace the following images on the front page – a person diving into a pool, blurred lights, bikes in the street, a boat.
I would like to replace with my own images.
I have read the support page
https://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/front-page-setup/
But, try as I might I can’t see how to change or delete these preset images
All help much appreciated

Hi
I don’t see those images that you mentioned (pool, lights, bike) on your site anymore. It looks like you were able to add your own images successfully.
If not, let us know and we’ll take another look.

Hi Melindahelt,
Thank you so much for the prompt response, after posting the question I went back and figured it out, I had somehow (don’t ask me why) not spotted that there was an option to add an image for each component of the Front Page. So, now that is now fixed and thank you again.

I’m glad to see you figured out how to change the images via the Theme Options panel of the WordPress.com Customizer, Andy.
If any extra questions come up then we’ll be right here.

Thank you, much appreciated. Is there any quick way to replicate the site logo on the front page? The default theme has the word Harmonic in a transparent text box overlaid over the front page image. I would like to recreate the same effect for my own blog?
Thank you,

Hi Andy,
The logo you see on the theme’s demo site is an image that’s been created in photo editing software and uploaded via the Customizer’s Site Identity panel.
Replicating the transparent effect is possible but the exact steps depend on the photo editing software that you’re using. The following tutorial, for example, is specific to Photoshop:
Hope that’s helpful!

Hi Siobhan
Thank you, I though that may be the case, I asked only as another website I developed for a friend had a similar logo that was customisable in the template (I think it was the Edin theme).
So, I will take a look at the tutorial that you sent me and boot up Photoshop.
Thanks for taking the time to reply on a Sunday!
Cheers
Andy
