HARMONIC: several questions!!!

Hello all!!
I have several questions to ask about Harmonic Theme.
1. How to switch between pages.
I have three pages set up: home, about and contact. When I go into About or Contact I try to hit the Home Page to go back home but it doesn’t allow me to do this. The home page is basically frozen and not working.2. News
I created a News section on my front page. How do I post news on to this part of the front page? Also how could I change the background imagine of the news section of my front page? There is a stock photo that came with the page and I don’t know how to get rid of this unless I get rid of the news section completely which I don’t want to do.
3. Contact page.On my contact page I have it set up so that people can type their personal info and ask me questions so I can contact them. When I go on to the contact page in the boxes I see my name and email and I can’t get rid of them no matter what I try. How do I make sure that my name and email are not in the boxes when people visit my site?

Hi @makingmemoriesmedia, your site is looking great!
1. Your home link is actually working now. Are you still having trouble with that? If so I’d recommend just going to Customize > Menus > Menu Locations, editing your current menu, and removing and re-adding the Home link.
2. Start by publishing some posts here: https://wordpress.com/posts . Be sure to use featured images :) If you need more help from there, let us know.
3. You only see your name and email because you are logged in as you. When I visit your site, I see my name and info — it just makes filling the form out a bit easier. If I’m not logged in, I’ll see a blank form, or my browser might pre-fill the form for me if I’m using that feature.

Thanks for answering our questions. I appreciate the compliment about our site!!!
I do have a few follow up questions.
1. Concerning my very first question, I noticed that I can switch between buttons Home, Contact and Who we are. But this started to work when I changed something in the Menu Section. I had to go to the Menus button underneath the Customize button. Under 5 available menus I switch to the from the Primary button to the Default button. And this started to work. I have no idea how or why this worked. Can you please try to explain so I can understand better?2. News again.
I don’t know how to use News portion of our website at all. I want to change the Background photo. I want to post there our package deals for our business and update them regularly. So, how can I do that?3. A new issue has arisen. On the buttom of the page where is says “What we offer” there supposed to be a buttom that that says Photos to take us to our photos. When I work with site I see this buttom. But when I use site as a visitor it is invisible. Can you please tell us the reason of this?

1. Ah, I see the problem. Go ahead and go to Customize > Menus . Select Primary and click Edit. Then click on “Home”. Notice the URL? It’s blank! Not sure how that happened. But I would just remove that and re-add it again. Then you are free to use this custom menu instead of the default one. You might also go ahead and delete the custom menus that you aren’t using. I noticed Menu 1, for example, doesn’t have any links.
2. This theme has its own special configuration options. Head to Customize > Theme Options > News, and you can change the background image there. Here are the rest of the theme instructions: https://wordpress.com/themes/harmonic/
3. Hmm, that one is a bit tricky. Tell me first, how are you viewing your site as a visitor while it’s private? Also let’s go ahead and resolve the other two things since that may help as well, then we’ll work more on this.

Thanks for answering on my questions.
I see that something is going on with these buttons. I will figure this out. And I hope that with your help I will be able to design my News page.
I would appreciate if you help me to understand what happened with “Photos” button. Why it disappears? When I edit my website I see this button. But when I press “Collapse” in order to see how everything looks like, there is no “Photos” button anymore.
Also I noticed that something is going on with Harmonic theme all the time. It makes me upset that something bad happens again and again when I don’t change anything. This time again…. I open my portfolio and something is going on with photos. Before it was a slide show. I opened first photo and then clicked arrow in order to get to another photo. Now it doesn’t work. I open one photo, and in order to see second one I need to come back. Its not a slide show anymore. Can you check this for me please? I work all month to make my website nice and can’t finish it.

– I think the photos link may not appear because the photos section is the last section, and you are already there.
