Harmonic Theme

    I had been using Harmonic, but I went searching for a theme that was more mobile friendly. I decided the other themes were not going to work for me, so I tried to go back to Harmonic. Now many of the features I liked before, seem to be gone.

    For instance, I can no longer share a tagline or logo on a front page image.
    I also cannot change the background of scrolling front page sections.

    I have tried every way I can think of to get my site to look like it did before, but I have been unsuccessful. I have also tried getting support from wordpress chat, and we could not understand what was going wrong.

    What we found was that we no longer had the editing tools described in the theme demo and description.

    Does anyone know what is going on? Is it a bug? Is the theme in the middle of updating?

    This is really frustrating. It had been a very simple theme to use, which is one reason why I loved it. Now I can’t seem to get anything I used to like out of it.

    Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at Every theme has a detailed theme description page. This one is at https://wordpress.com/theme/harmonic and that’s where set up instructions for it and the live demo site link is found.

    If you cannot do what you did before you and the theme does provide for it without an upgrade that is required for CSS editing, then you could have a browser related issue.

    • Make sure you are running an up to date browser version found at http://browsehappy.com
    • Make sure you have JavaScript and third party cookies enabled https://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/#how-do-i-enable-third-party-cookies.
    • Disable any adblocker browser add-ons.
    • Try clearing your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
    • Try using another browser.

    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.

    That does seem odd. If you like, I can try resetting your theme like the demo to see if that helps. Just let me know if I should give that a go.
