Harmonic Theme Footer Not Sitting At Bottom

Harmonic theme, the footer not sitting at the bottom of the Pages I’ve created.

This is the free version of wordpress and quite disappointing seeing this, is there a way to fix this and get the footer to sit at the botom where it should be sitting, not at the middle of the page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I forgot to mention this is happening in Firefox, not IE for Windows users.

I have not tested this on other systems and browsers.

Firefox in Linux and Windows displays the footer more in the middle of the page.

So it looks like there is a lack of Firefox support…

    Hmm

    Hi there!

I’ve looked into your request. The Harmonic theme is designed to have content which is longer than the page. If content is shorter than that of the length of the browser you may see the footer appear to float.

If you would prefer not to see this, we suggest making the content always longer than the the length of the page.

Hmm, I wish this would just sit at the bottom of the page regardless, because that creates constraints on design… :(

While having the footer always sit on the bottom was not the way the theme was originally designed. This may be accomplished with custom CSS which is part of the WordPress.com Premium or Business Plans.

If you choose to upgrade to a paid plan you’ll find some CSS you may use here: https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/fixed-footer/

We also have a bunch of friendly folks over in the CSS forum who may be able to point you in the right direction.
