Harmonic theme front page portfolio display
-
Hi WordPress gurus,
Just started using Harmonic, and it’s gorgeous. A quick question–is it possible to have image captions or titles appear under the portfolio images on the front page? (I have the title, caption, alt, and descriptions filled out in the featured image section.)
Many thanks!

Glad you’re enjoying Harmonic!
There isn’t a way to display the captions or titles under the portfolio images on the front page, as that area isn’t modifiable.
I also checked just to make sure those elements weren’t somewhere in the code that are being hidden but could be made visible with some custom CSS, but they aren’t:
<div class="portfolio-item"> <div class="post-thumbnail-wrapper"> <a title="Essays" href="http://justindaugherty.wordpress.com/portfolio/essays/"> <div class="post-thumbnail"> <img class="attachment-portfolio-landscape wp-post-image" width="480" height="360" alt="Essays" src="http://justindaugherty.files.wordpress.com/2014/11/6826908073_9bda6dcc3a_b.jpg?w=480&h=360&crop=1"> </div> </a> </div> </div>The item is there in a “title” attribute, so if you hold your mouse over, it will be displayed in most browsers in a little yellow label, so that’s something. :-)
One workaround is to add the word within the image itself in a graphics program.
